One of my favorite snow pictures, a hay feeder in the middle of a huge pasture. The cows were in the barn, the snow was deep, and it was very cold, so the hay feeder sat there for weeks. It took me three cold early morning trips and leaning against a tree to steady myself on the ice along the road to get my shot.
Wherever I am, whatever I see ... This is what determines my photographic subjects. But I don't take pictures of things. Photography is about capturing an impression. What is the form that caught my eye? How does light play into the image? How does this make me feel?
