I couldn't believe my eyes when I spotted this quaint sign advertising wringer washer sales and service. It was in the heart of the Amish Country of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, but I didn't even see the Amish girl on a scooter in the field across the street until I enlarged the picture! The soap suds clouds add to the ambiance.
Wherever I am, whatever I see ... This is what determines my photographic subjects. But I don't take pictures of things. Photography is about capturing an impression. What is the form that caught my eye? How does light play into the image? How does this make me feel?
