I took this picture on an Amish farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on a cloudy day. When I asked permission to photograph, the Amishman said, "Help yourself!" If you need a sunny yellow decorating touch, this photo would work well as a throw pillow.
Wherever I am, whatever I see ... This is what determines my photographic subjects. But I don't take pictures of things. Photography is about capturing an impression. What is the form that caught my eye? How does light play into the image? How does this make me feel?
